To people's surprise, I have never been to Ruth's Chris before so I decided that would be the choice to treat my bf for his birthday weekend. When I was making a reservation, I was honestly surprised they had any open for last minute. We made ours for 5:30 pm when was actually perfect timing. So just like any other steakhouse, they have a dress code but when you go in there's tons of ppl who are in sneakers, jeans, etc. and usually the bar area is extremely loud and gives off pub vibes a little. But once they take you back to the dining area, it's quieter and little more "elegant ". As soon as we sat down, they brought water and bread with a tablet that showed wine and spirits. They explained how everything works regarding the plates and services before we ordered. For appetizers e got calamari and mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat, and we got lamb chops, garlic crusted sea bass, and creamed spinach. The calamari was so good and came with like a Thai chili type sauce but I would have preferred it on the side because it did make the calamari a little soggy. I don't necessarily like mushrooms but those we had with the stuffed crabmeat was delectable. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and added a nice texture to the crabmeat which added flavor. On to the stars! The lamb chops were cooked medium just how we like it, tender and seasoned just right. It wasn't too salty and had a lot of flavor. The sea bass was cooked beautifully and it was so tender, it was easy to get piece by piece with the fork. The panko garlic crust on top added a nice salty crunch to the fish and both meats paired so well with the spinach. It was so creamy and just added another layer of flavor. We also got some drinks, an old fashioned and a hibiscus lemon drop. They were really strong but good. My lemon drop was tart and had a hint of hibiscus which gave it a floral taste which was a nice palette cleanser. I can never leave without dessert so I got a crème brûlée. I normally never eat the fruit with the custard but their strawberries and blueberries were so fresh and sweet, it was amazing with the perfectly sugar crusted custard. One of the best ones I've had. Our bill was about $229 which wasn't bad at all. The food was amazing and we had a great date night experience.

We had a wonderful time at the Ruth's Chris bar in the Hilton DT Columbia. We had 3 appetizers for a group of 6: Tuna- cooked perfectly Shrimp-had a light spicy coating, sweet Calamari-tempura fried, excellent All 5 stars and were filling.

Seven of our lunch group went here today for a Christmas luncheon. We had five orders of the Prime Hamburger and two Orders of the Chicken Sandwich. We ordered sides of French fries, Onion Rings and Broccoli. The burgers were cooked perfectly and very large. Onion Rings were really good and everyone liked their food. Atmosphere, Service and ambience is what was to be expected of a Ruths Chris. I would say the burger was great but could've used a little salt. Not the best burger in town, but very good. We were served fresh loaves of hot bread and butter on the table. I'd go back just for the bread! So good.

Seven of our lunch group met here today for lunch. Five of us ordered the Prime Hamburger and two ordered the Chicken Sandwich. Sides were Onion Rings, Fries and Broccoli. As usual, the waitress was very prompt, service great and so was the atmosphere. We had great fresh hot bread with butter at the table while we waited for our orders. The burgers were quite large and done as each of us had ordered them. The chicken sandwiches were also good. This was a special dinner for us just to celebrate the year end of our trying out restaurants in the local area. I think all gave it a rating of five stars. I must say the hamburger was excellent...I thought it may need a bit of salt, but it was very good.
